mentor

Why did you choose this as a mentor? I chose Jo Calderone because Lady Gaga made him up completely to get a point across which worked effectively. Also, Lady Gaga went through rejection and degradation for her art because she was told it was useless and would get her no where. In schools, arts are regarded as a subject that will get you a low paying job or none at all opposed to science, math, or athletics.

What about the work resonates for you?
Everything they do has some other meaning to it, when to the general public it may look idiotic or ridiculous, but to them it means something important.

What specific characteristics or strategies will you utilize from the work?
The ability to use a completely fictional character to get a point across to people to make them connect more.

How will you integrate your mentor into your project? The girl I created will be a major fan of Lady Gaga and look up to her immensely, and base a lot of her art off of her.
